Air Dolomiti, the Italian regional branch of Lufthansa, has announced plans to add espresso machines to its fleet of 17 Embraer 195 aircraft – offering complimentary in-flight espresso to its Business Class passengers.
Air Dolomiti is the first Italian carrier to offer this service and has teamed up with leading Italian coffee giant Caffè Illy to provide nine delicious Arabica blends for passenger pleasure.
The espresso initiative is just one step towards renewing the onboard service, with new seats installed throughout the fleet in 2021 and the roll-out of new gourmet menus and ceramics service for Business Class – with attractive pearly white porcelain infused with the turquoise diamond logo of the airline’s livery.
The Embraer 195 aircraft is configured in a 2-2 formation with Business Class passengers located at the front alongside an empty seat with a window position or direct aisle access.
The airline has its headquarters located at Dossobuono di Villafranca near the northern Italian city of Verona. It operates a network of routes from several of Italy’s main airports to twelve domestic and six international destinations, including Austria and Sweden. Its primary focus is connecting flights to and from Frankfurt and Munich in Germany.
A valid Business Class ticket with Air Dolomiti allows passengers access to the Lufthansa Business Class lounges in Munich and Frankfurt Airports, along with several regional lounges throughout Italy and Austria.
