Air France reopens San Francisco premium lounge

Air France has welcomed passengers back to its fully renovated premium lounge at San Francisco airport.

Situated at the A gate of the international terminal, this improved lounge now offers larger spaces - with a seating capacity of 117, enhanced amenities, and serves as a sanctuary for travellers to refresh, work, or dine before departure or during layovers.

The Air France premium lounge is now reopen!

The lounge is dedicated to Air France, KLM, and Skyteam partner airlines' La Première, Business, and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers.

The design encapsulates the French travel experience, right from the airport arrival. The use of sophisticated materials like wood and leather, paired with the brand's colours - blues, whites, and hints of red - give the lounge an elegant, chic appeal. The furniture includes pieces from renowned French designers including Pierre Paulin's Little Tulip chairs, Patrick Jouin's Ester bar stools, and Softshell chairs by the Bouroullec brothers.

A Parisian brasserie

Visitors can experience a warm, refined ambiance in the lounge, furnished with private alcoves and shared spaces. Relax or focus on work with bench-style seating, cosy chairs, and high tables.

The lounge features a dining area presenting French culinary delights in the form of a Parisian brasserie. A large communal table and comfy seats offer a chance for guests to enjoy a self-service buffet. The menu, which alternates throughout the day, comprises a wide range of both hot and cold, savoury and sweet meals, featuring French classics like croque-monsieur and boeuf bourguignon. Vegetarian options are always available. In line with its sustainable practices, Air France prioritises local and seasonal ingredients, strives to minimise food waste, and implements recycling in its catering operations. Water fountains are also provided to reduce single-use plastic consumption.

In addition, the lounge boasts a sizeable bar decked in blue-stained wood. This welcoming space provides a variety of French wines, Champagnes, spirits, and cocktails, served by a bartender. Local draught beers are also on offer.

La Première Lounge within the Lounge!

La Première customers are treated to a private area within the lounge. This tranquil space bathed in natural light from the expansive glass façade perfectly mirrors the superior in-cabin experience. It features its own restaurant and direct access to the bar, along with luxurious, custom furnishings.

For smoother entry, eligibility kiosks are installed at the lounge entrance. The area also provides complimentary Wi-Fi, ample power and USB outlets near the seats, shower facilities, and digital press via the Air France Play app.

This summer, Air France plans to operate up to 12 weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and San Francisco airport.
