British Airways is celebrating Christmas 2023 with its most extravagant festivities ever!
The airline is preparing over 380,000 Christmas dinners, complete with 600,000 Brussel sprouts and 8,000 yule logs. On December 24th & 25th, passengers in First Class will receive a unique glass Christmas tree bauble as a gift.
Adding to the holiday spirit, British Airways has curated a special Christmas countdown inflight entertainment channel, featuring over 20 classic Christmas movies and 50 television Christmas specials. The airline has also initiated the Big Little Welcome campaign, allowing customers to send festive greetings to their loved ones, which will be displayed on billboards and airport screens.
The celebration begins at London Heathrow, Gatwick, and City airports, where travellers will be welcomed with festive decorations, Christmas music, and themed check-in screens. In the lounges, passengers can enjoy bespoke Christmas menus, cookies, gingerbread, mulled wine, and a special festive scent with cinnamon and festive spices.
A partnership with Hotel Chocolat brings hot chocolate and festive chocolate cream cocktails to the lounges. Additionally, a “British Original” artist will create a winter wonderland in Heathrow Terminal 5 using 'snow graffiti', depicting a British skyline scene with snowy décor.
Onboard, passengers will be greeted with Christmas music and festive headrest covers featuring a bespoke Christmas ribbon design. Each passenger will receive farewell chocolates upon departure. During long-haul flights, traditional Christmas dinners served on festive-themed trays will be available, along with festive scented soap in the restrooms. A special gift of a hand-painted, bespoke glass Christmas bauble awaits premium customers traveling on 24th & 25th December.
Euro Traveller passengers on short-haul flights can purchase festive treats from the High Life Café, including celebrity-chef Tom Kerridge’s turkey feast sandwich and various Christmas drinks.
The Big Little Welcome campaign offers a unique opportunity for customers to create welcome messages for family and friends arriving in London from December 15-24, enhancing the holiday experience.
