Brussels Airlines has unveiled its refurbished Sunrise Lounge. Situated in the T-Zone of Brussels Airport, it is exclusively available to Business Class passengers travelling to Sub-Saharan Africa.
The lounge has undergone a redesign aimed at expanding its capacity by 25 percent. The upgraded facilities now include five "nap boxes" for guests seeking a restful sleep before their flight, as well as refurbished shower suites. Additionally, the lounge offers an extended range of buffet hot meals, and new food and beverage features have been introduced, such as Grohe Blue water fountains to minimise the use of plastic bottles and a self-service beer tap.
To enhance the ambiance, the lounge features Ethnicraft natural oak wood furniture and showcases a wallpaper design inspired by the breathtaking landscapes found across the African continent.
The renovation project aligns with previous enhancements in the airport's T-zone, which involved increasing seating capacity and introducing a Smurf-themed wall game to entertain children. Furthermore, a pharmacy vending machine has been installed, offering passengers convenient access to essential medical supplies.
Brussels Airlines - one of the four Lufthansa Group carriers - has consistently prioritised its African network and currently serves 17 destinations in Sub-Saharan Africa.
