Cathay Pacific has showcased its new Premium Economy cabin, exclusive Chinese wines, culinary collaborations, and inflight entertainment offerings.
The Hong Kong-based carrier unveiled its all-new Premium Economy cabin on a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER which it says will “set a new standard for comfort and privacy”.
The new Premium Economy offers spacious seating, intelligent lighting, and modern amenities, including a 15.6-inch 4K screen and Bluetooth audio streaming. Touch-free lavatories and mood lighting enhance comfort and relaxation throughout the cabin.
Innovating its wine selection, Cathay Pacific introduces exclusive Chinese wines from esteemed winemakers. Passengers can still expect wines from France, Italy, Austria, South Africa, Australia, the United States, and New Zealand.
One of three wines from Ningxia are also being served on rotation in Business Class. The Silver Heights Jiayuan Marselan 2021, The Grace Vineyard Tasya’s Reserve Cabernet Franc 2018 and the Xige Estate Jade Dove Single Vineyard Cabernet Gernischt 2019 are on the wine menu.
Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite’s Domaine de Long Dai 2020 from Qiu Shan Valley in Shandong Province is being served in First Class. These wines are available for customers travelling on long-haul routes until May 2024, and can also be purchased on the Cathay Shop.
Collaborations with renowned restaurants and brands promise elevated dining options, reflecting Hong Kong's diverse culinary landscape. Guests at the airline’s The Pier, First lounge at Hong Kong International Airport can delight in specially crafted tasting menus developed together with Rosewood Hong Kong’s fabulous restaurants.
Award-winning inflight entertainment features the largest library in Asia-Pacific, with 4K screens and Bluetooth streaming available across all cabins. An intuitive user interface ensures a personalised and connected experience, enhancing passenger enjoyment.
