Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific is relaunching its First Class service onboard Boeing 777-300ER daily routes to London Heathrow from 5th December.
This comes as welcome news to premium passengers and the airline, which is keen to secure the expected increased demand in passenger numbers with the gradual relaxing of travel restrictions in Hong Kong.
Indeed, London Heathrow will increase passenger flights from Hong Kong through November, with December seeing as many as four flights on certain days.
Initially, the first Class service will resume on flight CX251, departing Hong Kong International Airport at 22:20 on 5th December - landing at London Heathrow Airport at 05:00 (+1 day).
The return flight, CX252, will leave Heathrow at 11:15 on December 6th, arriving in Hong Kong at 07:00 (+1 day).
Cathay Pacific only offers a First Class product on its Boeing 777-300ER fleet, most of which were grounded in favour of the Airbus A350s during the pandemic.
Although the airline has only announced a First Class service on daily routes between Hong Kong and London, the United States will see Boeing 777 flights resume in the coming months. At this time, First Class tickets are not available on these routes.
The Cathay Pacific First Class lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 3 is fully operational. However, the award-winning flagship lounges in Hong Kong – The Pier and The Wing – remain temporarily closed.
The airline’s Boeing 777-300ERs can accommodate 294 passengers – with six in First Class and 53 in Cathay Pacific Business Class.
