Penelope Cruz has been unveiled as the new brand ambassador for Emirates. The globally recognised actor and philanthropist will be the face of the advertising campaign which launches in June. Already a regular passenger of the Emirates brand, Cruz has visited Dubai on numerous occasions.
These adverts will offer a sneak peek into the exclusive privileges experienced by Emirates First and Business Class customers under the 'Fly Better' slogan. Cruz - onboard an Emirates A380 - is shown partaking in various luxuries, including enjoying a carefully crafted beverage in the A380 Onboard Lounge, indulging in a shower high above the clouds, watching live TV football games, and savouring generous servings of premium caviar. In some scenes, Cruz is shown enjoying Emirates’ new Premium Economy Class.
In the ads, Cruz can be seen interacting with the Emirates Cabin Crew in various languages, engaging with the award-winning 'ice' inflight entertainment system, and adjusting the personal temperature controls in her private First Class Suite. She also uses custom binoculars to admire the lofty views and wears the Emirates hydrating sleepwear for a nap in her reclining bed, surrounded by high-end amenities.
Cruz has been nominated for four Oscars - winning once, for her 2008 masterpiece - Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
In the past, Emirates has featured Jennifer Aniston and Chris Hemsworth onboard Emirates, and who could forget Gerry the Goose!
