Emirates serves Inflight Meal Preordering Service across Europe

Following the successful debut of Emirates' inflight meal preordering service on UK routes, and buoyed by enthusiastic customer feedback, the airline is expanding this feature to additional European destinations. 

These include Warsaw, Venice, Rome, Bologna, Prague, Vienna, Moscow, Istanbul, Dublin, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Brussels, and Madrid, as well as Seychelles and Mauritius.

The upgraded service allows Business Class passengers to select their main course from 14 days up to 24 hours prior to their flight's departure. This ensures that travelers receive their meal of choice and contributes to reducing food waste.

Emirates invites its passengers to indulge in a premium airborne dining experience. Up to two weeks before a flight, passengers can explore the in-flight menu on Emirates.com or through the Emirates app. 

Choices include a variety of dishes crafted by chefs and made from locally-sourced, regionally-inspired ingredients. For example, Business Class meal options range from chocolate hazelnut pancakes with apricot compote and ricotta sour cream for breakfast, to beef tenderloin with thyme jus, roasted potato wedges and steamed vegetables for lunch, and pan-fried salmon trout with saffron cream and a vegetable medley for dinner.

During the flight, cabin crew will consult digital devices to verify passengers' preselected meal options and serve them accordingly. This preordering service complements Emirates' existing suite of AI-powered features that help optimise menu planning, load food more efficiently, and minimise waste.

In the months ahead, this preordering initiative will be made available on a wider range of international routes.
