Fiji Airways joins oneworld - the 15th full member airline

As it celebrates its 25th birthday, oneworld has said “bula” to Fiji Airways as it becomes its 15th full member airline.

The national carrier of Fiji and the South Pacific, Fiji Airways has been an integral part of the oneworld alliance for the past five years as a oneworld connect partner. Throughout this period, the airline has established strong cooperative links with all oneworld member airlines, facilitating a smoother transition to full membership. This transition will begin immediately and is expected to be completed within the next 12 months.

Operating from its hub at Nadi International Airport, Fiji Airways serves 26 destinations in 15 countries and territories, including key oneworld hubs including Sydney, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. Fiji Link, a wholly-owned subsidiary, will become an affiliate airline of oneworld, further extending the alliance's network with domestic flights within Fiji and regional flights to Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. In 2023, Fiji Airways carried 2.2 million passengers - offering 2.8 million seats. With significant growth, increased capacity, and a fleet upgrade featuring new Airbus A350 aircraft, Fiji Airways is well-positioned to expand its offerings as a full oneworld member airline.
