Finnair has announced plans to refurbish the interiors of its Embraer aircraft. Serving Finnair’s domestic and European routes, the Embraer jet engine planes will have seating for 100 passengers post-renovation. There are currently 12 aircraft in the Embraer lineup.
The airline says that the makeover will “infuse the Embraer fleet with a refreshed and welcoming ambiance, mirroring elements seen in Finnair's previously revamped long-haul aircraft interiors”.
Ole Orvér, Finnair's Chief Commercial Officer, expressed, “Our goal is to elevate the comfort of our passengers and ensure they receive a top-notch travel experience throughout our routes. The refurbishment will introduce aesthetics and vibes similar to what can be found in our newly-redesigned Airbus wide-body planes.”
This refurbishment project is set for 2024-2025, with the inaugural revamped aircraft set to take flight by late 2024.
