Hawaiian Airlines has announced that its new amenity Kits and soft goods will be offered in collaboration with Hawaii's own Noho Home.
From 6th November, Business Class passengers on Hawaiian’s international routes and flights connecting Hawai‘i to New York, Boston, and Austin will experience amenities crafted from sustainably obtained materials. A recycled plastic canvas bag will be provided, filled with essentials.
Business Class seating will showcase a soft quilt, reflecting the newly introduced Kilo Hōkū and ʻŌlali designs. Additionally, travellers can enjoy a comfortable mattress pad and pillow, both draped in fabric derived from recycled plastic.
For those in Extra Comfort and Main Cabin, they will be presented with amenity kits embracing the Lele design.
In ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, the term “Noho” translates to “to be, to dwell, or to come from.” This essence is captured in Noho Home designs, drawing inspiration from Hawaiian Airlines' Leihōkū Suites within their new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner premium cabin. These designs comprise three distinct motifs – Kilo Hōkū, Lele, and ʻŌlali. The aim is to evoke a sense of belonging and solace for both locals and tourists as they commence their travels, resonating harmoniously with Hawaiian’s service mantra, Mea Hoʻokipa (I am your host). The trio of designs emanates from the indigenous Hawaiian custom of 'kilo', which emphasises persistent and meticulous observation.
