From now until the end of August 2024, JAL is offering passengers flying into Japan the option of renting clothing for their visit!

Called Any Wear, Anywhere and part of the airline's JAL Vision 2030 - which promotes sustainability - you can rent clothes, cutting down on the baggage you fly with.

The concept of the Service is to provide a travel experience with minimal luggage by offering clothing rentals at the destination, creating “environmental” value.

In providing the service, JAL's partner Sumitomo Corporation will be responsible for the procurement, laundering, and delivery of clothes.

All clothing items available for rent will be obtained from excess stock of apparel and pre-owned clothing, promoting the concept of a circular economy. JAL will monitor changes in passengers' checked-in baggage weight and verify the reduction effect of carbon dioxide emissions by reduced airplane weight.

Reservations must be made at least one month in advance, and the clothes may only be borrowed for a maximum period not exceeding two weeks. Clothes will be available in a range of sizes and be collected and returned to the hotels where participants in the pilot programme will stay.

Travellers will need to enter their JAL flight booking reference when booking the Any Wear, Anywhere service.
