The U.S. carrier is now flying a service from the U.K.'s second busiest airport to Boston - the state capital of Massachusetts - in addition to a daily flight from both Gatwick and Heathrow to New York's J.F.K. airport.
JetBlue operates an Airbus A321LR fleet on its transatlantic route - a wide-body, single-aisle aircraft - which features 24 Mint suites in the airline's award-winning premier cabin. The airline plans to launch its Heathrow to Boston Logan route in late September and an additional Gatwick to J.F.K. flight. JetBlue will be offering five flights a day from the U.K. to the U.S. by October. In 2021, JetBlue launched its J.F.K. to Heathrow and Gatwick routes to great success and more European destinations are due to be announced.
“Our London service from New York has been an incredible success and we are thrilled to finally bring this highly anticipated service to our Boston customers, a route that has long suffered from high fares by legacy carriers,” said Robin Hayes, chief executive officer, JetBlue. “As Boston’s largest carrier, adding this nonstop service to Gatwick will only make us more relevant in our New England focus city and introduce JetBlue to a largely unserved market.”
