The Business Class cabin will expand to meet rising demand, with seats increasing from 21 to 44. The Dreamliners will see all of its seats updated to ergonomic designs by RECARO. Business Class will now include more seats with a comfortable recline (not lie-flat) and power outlets, although the total seat count on each plane will decrease slightly to accommodate this.

In line with sustainability efforts, the Dreamliner's fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions are up to 25% lower than older aircraft. Weight reduction measures include removing seatback screens in favor of streaming to personal devices, lighter seats, and a fresh exterior paint scheme. Finally, the updated Jetstar livery will align with that of the newest fleet member, the Airbus A321neo LR.

The investment per aircraft is “substantial”, with the overhaul set to begin in late 2025 during scheduled maintenance.

Jetstar operates 5,000 flights a week to over 85 destinations - across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific.
