Air France has today reopened its newly renovated Business class lounge at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport, featuring an open kitchen, private saunas and a detox bar.
Located in Hall L, Terminal 2, the lounge has been dramatically redesigned and expanded to create a comfortable new space for its Business customers and Flying Blue Elite Plus cardholders.
Anne Rigail, Customer EVP, said that the reimagined lounge was “perfectly in line with Air France’s strategy to move upmarket”, just like the lounge at Terminal 2G.
“It has been designed to surprise our customers with innovative services on the theme of well-being and gastronomy,” she continued.
The lounge aims to provide a subtle balance between elegance, comfort and creativity. Designed by Air France and the agency Brandimage, the space has an overall chic French style, expressed through bright, uplifting colours and typically stylish furnishings.
One impressive area of the lounge is the spacious well-being area – the largest of its kind in an Air France lounge. More than 550 sqm has been set aside for facilities to improve guests’ well-being. This area includes an “Instant Relaxation” area with loungers and mini-suites; a detox bar with a selection of fine teas; an area dedicated to facial treatments with two private cabins and Clarins beauticians; two private saunas; and large luxury showers.
Dining in the lounge has also been vastly enhanced. Guests can now enjoy a fine French dining experience thanks to the lounge’s “La Table Gourmet” dining area. It features an open kitchen where a Chef will prepare hot dishes by putting the final touch on the dish in front of customers. This is complemented by a selection of wines and Champagnes specially chosen by Paolo Basso, world’s best sommelier in 2013.
There is also self-service offer which invites customers to discover seasonal flavours for all tastes, with simmered casseroles, salads and pastries
On top of all that, there are apparently more surprises to come in July 2018, when the rest of the lounge opens up, including a beautiful creation by the French designer Mathieu Lehanneur.
