Qatar Airways awarded World's Best Airline and World's Best Business Class

At the annual World Airline Awards - held in London - Qatar Airways has retained its crown as the World's Best Airline for the seventh year running - pushing Singapore Airlines and Emirates into second and third place, respectively. Qatar Airways also won World’s Best Business Class, World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge, World’s Best Business Class Airline Seat, World’s Best Business Class Onboard Catering and Best Airline in the Middle East. The awards for World's Best Cabin Crew and World's Best First Class were picked up by Singapore Airlines.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “To be named as the World’s Best Airline was always a goal when Qatar Airways was created, but to win it for the seventh time is a testament to all the hard work of our incredible employees. Their continued dedication and drive is to ensure our passengers have the best experience possible when they fly with Qatar Airways."

The World Airline Awards dubbed the "the Oscars of the aviation industry’ began in 1999, and remain totally independent & impartial and is run by the airline ratings agency, Skytrax.
