Singapore Airlines is set to temporarily close its SilverKris lounge at London Heathrow Airport for a £3.5 million makeover. The lounge, situated in Terminal 2, will shut down on 8th February to introduce a revamped experience for visitors, planning to welcome guests again later this summer.
The renovation aims to expand the seating capacity by up to 16 percent and will incorporate design elements from the newly upgraded SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Changi Airport's Terminal 3 in Singapore.
Singapore Airlines has continually emphasised the significance of London as a key premium market, noting that the lounge's refurbishment reaffirms the airline's dedication to enhancing customer service in the city. Singapore Airlines has been operating in London for over half a century.
During the renovation period, passengers eligible for lounge access, including First Class and Business Class travellers, PPS Club, KrisFlyer Elite Gold, and Star Alliance Gold members, are invited to use the United Airlines United Club Lounge at Terminal 2, located opposite Gate B46.
