SWISS - new First and Business Class cabins for 2025

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will launch a new First and Business Class offering in 2025. This follows the rollout of the same Allegris First and Business Class cabins by sister-company Lufthansa in the second half of 2023.

The new cabins will coincide with the retirement of SWISS’s ageing Airbus A340s – being replaced by long-range flagship Airbus or Boeing aircraft – though the SWISS versions of the Allegris seating will reflect the company’s styling and brand.

High walls surround the private First Class Suites with a sliding privacy door and almost metre-wide seating that can be converted into a large, comfortable bed. An ottoman doubles as a companion seat, and the Suite provides enough room for companion dining on the sizeable retractable dining table. Additional features include a personal wardrobe and a wide HD in-flight entertainment screen extending above the width of the ottoman, complete with Bluetooth audio streaming.

The front row of the Business Class cabin will feature four enhanced Business Plus Suites – with high sliding doors, a large 27-inch (69 centimetres) HD IFE screen, a personal wardrobe and storage space.

The remaining Business Class cabin will see alternating configurations of traditional 1-2-1 rows with 1-1-1 rows that include a central throne seat with added desk space. The new seats will provide customers with more privacy from high curved walls, offer increased shoulder space, and convert to fully flat beds of nearly 2.2 metres. Other features include a multi-use tablet to control seat position, lighting and ventilation, a 17-inch (43 centimetres) HD IFE screen, wireless audio feeding the customer’s own Bluetooth headphone devices, wireless charging, and laptop, smartphone or tablet connectivity. All Business Class seats have direct aisle access.
