Vistara will be introducing a new European route this summer that connects Mumbai with London. Vistara - the Indian airline in a joint venture with Singapore Airlines and Tata - merged with its rival Indian carrier Air India last November and has 59 aircraft in its fleet including four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners (and two Boeing 737-800s & eight Airbus A321neos) - for its long-haul routes.
The airline will begin operating the London Heathrow-Mumbai service on June 1st with a total of five flights each week. The new flights will join Air India’s already established Mumbai-Heathrow service and will compete against Virgin Atlantic and British Aiways on that route.
Vistara already offers flights to Delhi from Heathrow, and it operates services to Delhi from Frankfurt and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports.
Vinod Kannan, Vistara's CEO, says the launch of this new route indicates their customers' growing preference for Vistara for travel between India & the UK and that the airline plans to expand its presence in Europe.
The London-Mumbai service will fly a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with three cabins - Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy.

There is a Business Class menu and priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling.
