Finnair opgraderer flåden med fire nye Airbus A321–200

Finnair har indgået en aftale med firmaet BOC Aviation Pte Ltd fra Singapore (som dog ejes af Bank of China) vedrørende en leasing af fire nye tomotorers Airbus A321-200 narrow body-fly med plads til 209 rejsende. Leveringen af Airbus-maskinerne starter i første halvåret 2017. Aftalen er indgået for minimum otte år fremad i tiden. Anledningen er at Finnair dels vil udfase den gamle arbejdshest Airbus A340, og dels at man ønsker få flere transferpassagerer fra sine europæiske destinationer til Helsinki og videre østpå. I samme omgang sælger Finnair to Embraer-maskiner og et turboprop-fly.
