Air France is really in great shape right now in terms of new premium products. After launching the new long-haul product with a brand new first class suite, this morning yet another novelty arrived - the opportunity to book a connecting private jet when travelling in La Première.

The new partnership, with the company Wijet, started this morning and means that passengers of Air France first class, La Première, can book a connection during their long journey, with private jets between any destination in Europe and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The service is offered between Paris and a total of 1,200 airports in France and Europe, with a flight times of up to two hours and 30 minutes. The aircraft that will be used is the Cessna Citation Mustang. The aircraft has four leather seats, two that can be folded 140 degrees if one wishes to have some rest during their journey. Onboard, alcohol is served along with non-alcoholic drinks and French pastries. Alternatively, a lunch box is available, depending on the flight duration and time of day. In addition, there are newspapers, magazines, tablets and a free satellite phone. Upon arrival in Paris, you are met by a personal assistant and transported in a limousine to queue for your next flight. Meanwhile, the staff take care of your check-in and baggage. Passport and security control are also optimised for a quick transfer. If you have more time at the airport, you are welcome to wait in the La Première lounge in terminal 2E. The timetable for a private jet is customised for optimal transfer time at Charles de Gaulle, but it is also possible to decide the timetable for yourself. According to Air France, this service shall be 40 percent cheaper than the competition. The price starts at 2,400 euros per hour, for a round-trip journey (including taxes). The cost is per aircraft, i.e. up to four passengers. Passengers booking Air France jets also earn points with Flying Blue. The service is primarily intended for passengers in first class but fellow passengers in business class are also welcome on board. Air France recommends that you book through the dedicated La Première service, but it can also be booked through a travel agent or Air France reservation centre.
