Air France has this week announced that during 2015 it will reassign its short-haul traffic under the trademark HOP!. The decision was announced by Air France CEO Frédéric Gagey this week. During the first quarter of 2015, Air France will be present exactly what the HOP! concept will entail. Implementation is then expected to take place during the summer 2015. The affected routes are primarily domestic routes in France, many from Orly Airport in Paris, as well as short-haul routes from other French airports.

- Our short-haul activity is in direct competition with trains, cars, and low-cost airlines. We need to restructure our company to be even more responsive, market-oriented and close to our customers. HOP! Air France provides a response adapted to the specific characteristics of the short-haul carrier activity and the travel needs of our customers, says CEO Frédéric Gagey in a press release.
