Austrian Airlines to reopen route to Mauritius in autumn 2015

by BusinessClass

In conjunction with the winter timetable, which takes effect on October 29 2015, Austrian Airlines will reopen its service to the popular holiday destination of Mauritius, from its base in Vienna. The route will be operated with one flight per week by a Boeing 767. From Vienna, flights departs on Thursdays at 5.15pm, with arrival in Mauritius at 6:55am. In the opposite direction, flights depart Mauritius on Fridays at 8:15am, and arrive in Vienna at 4.30pm. Today there are no reasonable alternatives to fly to Mauritius with Star Alliance or, for example, to use EuroBonus points for a free trip. The alternative from Europe is to fly with South African Airways via Johannesburg. Lufthansa have operated the route in the past but the line was discontinued in 2007.
