Luxury hotel group Banyan Tree has unveiled plans to open Morocco’s first all-inclusive pool villa resort.

Combining Moroccan charm with a refreshing Mediterranean spirit, Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay - the company's debut in the Mediterranean and Africa - is well-suited to families and couples seeking a rich cultural adventure due to the resort's ideal location near beautiful historic towns, quiet unspoiled beaches and exhilarating outdoor activities.

Opening on September 1, Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay will feature 92 luxury pool villas ranging from 200 to 423-sq-m, each with a lush garden and private pool, whilst some offer direct access to the beach. They will be the largest and most private resort-villas in Morocco, according to Banyan Tree, each paying homage to the rich local architecture and design found across the region.

Guests can choose from four restaurants or 24-hour in-villa dining, with a wide range of Moroccan delicacies, Mediterranean-inspired seafood dishes and international favourites available.

A variety of water sport activities will be available for thrill-seeking guests, including scuba diving, wakeboarding and jet-skiing. Whale and dolphin watching trips will also be taking place in the bay, whilst adventure lovers can hike into the Rif Mountains or venture to nearby Cabo Negro, renowned for its sandy beaches for horseback riding.

Those looking to relax and unwind after an adventure-filled day can enjoy an extensive Asian-inspired spa with Hydro and Vitality Pool, Hammam, a special Yoga Room and a number of elegant treatment rooms.

With several beautiful towns and villages within a few hours’ drive from the resort - including Chefchaouen, tucked deep in the Rif Mountains and widely regarded as one of the prettiest towns in Morocco - the resort makes a perfect base for exploring the charming region.

Visitors to Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay can arrive via Casablanca, Rabat or Tangier International Airport, which is a 60 minute drive away.
