According to this year's Business Travel Show survey, 44% of travel managers in 182 surveyed firms said that they do not give employees permission to the book their own travel. This is an increase of 5% compared with 2014. Despite this, 86% of employees in the companies said they break the rules, and 10% said they regularly do not adhere to the firm's travel rules.

72% of the firms in the survey were from England and the rest came from several different countries in Europe. Here at BusinessClass, we are curious. Can you choose your seat or decide which airline or alliance you will fly with? How do travel rules affect you?
