From January 1 next year, Emirates will increase its services to Lisbon to two daily departures from Dubai.

The new departure is in response to increased demand for flights to the portuguese capital. The route will be served by a Boeing 777-300ER with three classes on board, with eight first class suites, 42 lie-flat business class seats, and 310 economy class seats. Flight EK193 will depart Dubai at 14.40 and arrive in Lisbon at 19.20. In the opposite direction, flight EK194 will depart Lisbon at 21.00 and arrive in Dubai at 08.45 the next day. Hubert Frach, Emirates’ divisional senior vice president said: “In the last three years our flights to Lisbon have gone from strength to strength both on the passenger and cargo side. There is clearly a need for another daily service to satisfy this demand, which is why we will start a second daily flight from January 1, 2016.” The introduction of this second daily departure follows the recent announcement that Emirates will be the shirt sponsor of Lisbon based football team Benfica for the coming season.
