Emirates have announced that the planned introduction of a 615-seat, 2-class A380 from Dubai to Gatwick will be reassigned between Dubai and Manchester from the beginning of next year.
From January 1, the Gulf airline will fly the superjumbo daily between Dubai and Manchester, replacing the three-class A380 currently being deployed. Also from January 1, Emirates’ three-times daily Gatwick service will become A380-only. The B777 currently being used will be replaced by a three-class A380, instead of the two class, 615-seater as previously planned. To summarise, starting in the new year, Emirates will fly a three-times daily service to Gatwick with three-class A380s, while Manchester will be served three-times daily by two A380s (one two-class and one three-class) as well as a B777.
