Emirates celebrated a company record with the arrival of four new aircraft in one day, affirming its commitment to flying a modern and efficient fleet. The delivery included two Boeing 777-300ERs, one Boeing 777 Freighter and one Airbus A380 aircraft, valued at $1.5 billion in total.
Emirates, who has one of the youngest fleets in the skies, is also the world’s largest operator of the Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft. This latest delivery brings Emirates' fleet up to 147 B777s and 66 A380s. The delivery of three Boeing aircraft marks Emirate’s 50th B777 delivery from Boeing. Three have being retired since Emirates received its first 777 in 1996.

The Boeing 777 freighter was scheduled to fly directly from the Seattle area to Hong Kong to pick up cargo. Emirates has received 14 new aircraft so far in 2015, including nine A380’s, four Boeing 777-300ER’s and one Boeing 777 Freighter. The airline retired eight aircraft during the same period, four A340-500’s, three A330-300’s and one Boeing 777-200 have been taken out of service. Emirates now has a fleet of 238 aircraft, with 270 on order worth a total of $129 billion. Its order includes 46 Boeing 777-300ERs, 115 Boeing 777-9Xs, 35 Boeing 777-8Xs and 74 AirbusA380s.
