Starting this summer, Finnair will increase the total number of flights between Helsinki and Dublin to nine a week.
The increase sees an additional 1,800 seats on the route, which was only launched in April 2015, and is a response to an increase in passenger demand. “The airline’s hub in Helsinki Airport offers convenient and fast connections to the Far East and beyond with short transfers making long haul journeys easier than ever before,” Finnair stated. The Finnish airline currently operates seven weekly flights between the two capital cities, deploying a 100-seat, two-class Embraer 190 aircraft on the route. Fredrik Charpentier, Finnair Sales Director, United Kingdom and Ireland said, “We are delighted that due to customer demand we are able to offer even more flight options for our passengers travelling to and from Ireland. Our customers value the exceptional Nordic on board experience and the quick and convenient transfers through our Helsinki hub. With the arrival of our new long haul Airbus A350s into the fleet customers can now experience the latest in technology and comfort while travelling to Asia’s leisure and business destinations.” Return fares to Helsinki start from €182 (£134) in Economy class and €701 (£514) in Business class.
