Hilton has opened a stunning hotel in the capital of Faroe Islands, Tórshavn. With the island's first-ever health centre and new culinary experiences, this is set to become a welcoming addition.

The Faroe Islands are an archipelago of 18 mountainous islands, tucked between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic Ocean. The islands are world-renowned for their unrivalled natural beauty, flourishing music scene, a growing gastronomic culture - and a steadily growing tourist industry. Now comes a long-awaited addition - Hilton Garden Inn Faroe Islands - has opened in the Faroe Islands' enchanting capital, Tórshavn. The location is excellent, only five minutes from the beautiful waterfall Svartafoss and the National Museum. The hotel has 130 rooms, of which several boasts gorgeous views overlooking the beautiful nature. Similar to other Hilton Garden Inn hotels, the rooms are stylish and offer all the amenities one could wish for, from high-speed Wi-Fi, refrigerators and working desks.

One of the highlights is the food offerings, and in this context Hallartún, the French bistro restaurant. The bistro is run by the acclaimed chef Jakup Sumberg, who has experience of working at some of the most prestigious restaurants in both Denmark and Sweden.

Hallartún offers views overlooking the beautiful nature and freshly prepared dishes, with a strong focus on using local seasonal produce, as well as a rich selection of fresh fish and meat sourced local suppliers.

The hotel also has a shop called The Shop, which is open 24 hours a day for guests who want locally sourced sweet and savoury snacks, beverages and ready-to-cook meals. The Hilton Garden Inn Faroe Islands also offers one of the islands very first wellness centres - featuring a sauna, outdoor jacuzzi and a 24-hour fitness centre. In addition to this, there are also five meeting rooms with capacity to host up to 250 attendees.
