At last, the American hotel chain Hyatt will open its first property in Sweden, with Hotell Reisen becoming a member of «The Unbound Collection by Hyatt».

Hyatt is currently expanding in northern Europe. The hotel chain has previously announced that Grand Hansa Hotel in Helsinki, Finland will become a member of «The Unbound Collection by Hyatt» and has launched the plans for the opening of Hyatt Centric Reykjavík in Reykjavik, Iceland. Hotell Reisen is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment and will officially become a member of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in early 2021.

As the coffee house became a popular meeting place for sailors, the family started renting out rooms for travellers in the early 19th century. Since then, the building has been a hotel.
