In conjunction with the G7 summit held in early June, Germany will impose temporary border controls for those travelling to Germany, this applies when travelling from other Schengen associated countries. The temporary border controls mean that Germany has the right to conduct full control of anyone passing the German border by land, sea or air. Therefore, travellers from any Schengen associated country will need to bring their passport to prove their identity and nationality.
