KLM is celebrating 95 years in the air with an exhibition in Amsterdam

On 7th October 2014, KLM will celebrate their 95 year anniversary with an exhibition in Amsterdam, where you can see photos and exhibits from the airline's history. There will be a major focus on the airline's operations during the 20s, 30s, 50s, 70s and 90s, and, among other things, you can see photos, posters and the porcelain once used. According to KLM, you will be able to experience what it was like to fly in the early years of aviation, when a trip could take up to three weeks and travel really meant luxury for a chosen few. There will also be a focus on the next five years, up until 2019 when KLM will celebrate 100 years in the air. At the entrance, where you get your boarding pass, there will be the opportunity to suggest what you would like to see in KLM in future years. Everyone who participates has a chance to win a trip, an overnight stay for two people in London. The prize trip to London has a logical explanation, it was KLM’s first destination. The exhibition is called "Exploring KLM's 95-Year Journey” and is exhibited at the Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen, near Amsterdam. The exhibition is open from 19th September to 12th October.
