Preparations for the formal launch of Lufthansa's new premium economy class have been faster than expected, therefore the airline has decided to bring forward the launch date. On November 22nd, nine days earlier than planned, the first flight with premium economy as a complete cabin class will take flight.

The destinations that will initially be offered with premium economy are the destinations served by Boeing 747-8 aircraft: Bangalore, Beijing, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Sao Paolo. Seoul, Tokyo Haneda, and Washington DC. The entire long-haul fleet is expected to have premium economy installed by the summer of 2015.
