New InterContinental hotel in Dubai Marina

InterContinental Hotels Group has opened a new hotel in Dubai, this time in the Dubai Marina. "InterContinental Hotel Dubai Marina" offers 132 rooms and 196 so-called Residential Suites. It is located within walking distance of Jumeirah Beach Road and the popular ‘The Walk Dubai’, where you find restaurants and plenty of shops. The Dubai metro and tramway are also within walking distance. The hotel has an impressive list of restaurants and bars - nine to choose from. Among these are ‘YNot’, which serves wine and tapas, ‘Accent’, which serves food from all corners of the world, and ‘Ginter’, a gin bar with one of Dubai's broadest selection of gins. The hotel’s signature restaurant is the ‘Marine National Restaurant’ run by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton. When it opens in September 2015, it will become Atherton's first restaurant in the Middle East. The restaurant will also have a bar, ‘The Social Room’, offering several unique cocktails and possible Dubai’s largest selection of whiskys. The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool, a spa (with separate sections for men and women), a gym and nine meeting rooms. InterContinental Hotels Group now has 18 hotels in the UAE across five brands. Ten more hotels are planned in the next 3-5 years.
