Official inauguration of Air France's Airbus A380

Air France has officially inaugurated its Airbus A380 on its route between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Mexico on February 9.

To celebrate the event, a number of special guests, including Air France CEO and Chairman Frédéric Gagey, were present on board. On his arrival in Mexico, Frédéric Gagey stated: “Operating our Airbus A380 to Mexico marks a significant step in Air France’s history in Mexico. A history spanning over 60 years and that we are pursuing today by enabling our customers to travel between Europe and this country on board our fleet’s flagship”. Air France is currently offering six frequencies between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Mexico. Since 12 January 2016, three weekly flights have been operated by Airbus A380 - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays - while the other three are operated by Boeing 777-300. From 27 March 2016, the A380 will fly daily between the two cities. Flight AF438 leaves Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 13:30, arriving in Mexico at 18:40. In the opposite direction, flight AF439 leaves Mexico at 21:10, landing at Paris- Charles de Gaulle at 14:25. Air France’s A380 offers 516 seats over four classes - La Première, Business, Premium Economy, Economy. The aircraft will fly to 8 destinations this winter - Abidjan, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Los Angeles, Mexico, Miami, New York-JFK and Shanghai.
