Lufthansa continues the tradition of celebrating the Bavarian Oktoberfest on board their aircraft. Starting today, 14th September, a crew of 12 women and 2 men will work on board flights in traditional Bavarian clothing, with the first flight being Munich-Beijing on Monday evening. For women, it means traditional dirndls. Later, the same crew will fly to Sao Paulo on 24th September, and Mexico City on 4th October. For the first time, this year, the airline will also expand the tradition to European flights. On 20th September, from Munich to Lyon and Copenhagen, on 21st September to Zagreb and Bremen, and on 5th October to Zadar and Geneva. Airport ground staff at Munich airport will also wear traditional costumes instead of the usual Lufthansa uniforms.
