During the annual Cellars in the Sky Awards, organised earlier this year by the multi-national magazine, Business Traveler, the Oneworld airline alliance was honoured as the best airline alliance for the wines served in-flight by its member airlines for the sixth year in a row.

The award, which is in association with the International Wine Challenge, was presented to Oneworld after blind tastings of hundreds of wines served on long-haul flights by 33 airlines from around the world. The tastings were conducted by a panel of five leading experts.

It's actually the eighth time that Oneworld has one this prestigious award, a clear indication that they are doing something right and focusing on the quality of wine that is served on board.

Additionally, British Airways won the "Best Overall Cellar" category, Japan Airlines was recognised as having the "Best First Class Red Wine", American Airlines won the "Best First Class White Wine" category, and Finnair won the “Best Business Class White Wine.”

What do you think? Is Oneworld the best or do you have a favourite alliance when it comes to the selection and quality of the wines that are served? Please let us know in the comments!
