Qatar Airways continue investment in Australia with new route to Adelaide

On May 2 next year, Qatar Airways will open another route to an exciting destination in Australia. With daily flights from Doha to Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, the airline continues its expansion into the Australian market. Recently, the Gulf airline also announced a new route to Sydney, which opens March 1 next year.

The route new between Doha and Adelaide will become Qatar Airways’ first to Australia to be operated by the world's newest aircraft - the Airbus A350. The long distance flight means that the airline can fully take advantage of the new aircraft's efficiency and capacity. Qatar Airways’ A350 aircraft offers 36 seats in business class and 247 seats in economy class, all with generous legroom and individual in-flight entertainment systems. With the opening of the route to Adelaide, Qatar Airways will fly to a total of four destinations in Australia - Adelaide, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne, with a total of 28 flights per week.

, said, “2016 is going to be yet another exciting year for Qatar Airways and we are very pleased that Australia will figure prominently in our expansion plans with the launch of flights to Sydney from March 1 and Adelaide from May 2 to further strengthen our operations in the country.” Since the beginning of the year, Qatar Airways has launched routes to Amsterdam (Netherlands), Zanzibar (Tanzania), Faisalabad, Sialkot and Multan (Pakistan) and Abha (Saudi Arabia). Before the end of the year, the airline plans to open routes to Durban (South Africa) and Nagpur (India).
