Melbourne and Perth have both been served for a long time by Qatar Airways, but Australia's largest city has always been absent on the route map. It has now been confirmed that Qatar Airways will start operations to Sydney, offering a new alternative to Australia with only one change.
Commencing March 1, 2016, the route will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER with two classes on board (economy class and business class) and room for 335 passengers. From Doha, flights will depart at 20.10 with flight number QR 908, with arrival in Sydney at 18:05 the next day. The return flight departs from Sydney at 22:20 with flight number QR 909, and arrives in Doha at 5:05 next morning.
