The Duke of York was guest of honour as the Renaissance London Heathrow reopened following an extensive £20 million renovation.
Completed in December, the refurbishment covers all areas of the hotel, including “upgrading the exterior with new lighting and signage; reconfiguring the public areas to introduce a new Market Garden restaurant, Bar Eleven and lobby lounge; revamping all meeting spaces, including 17 function suites and 5 breakout rooms; and adding 61 new guestrooms, bringing the hotel's total count to 710 rooms and suites,” a press release said.
Runway-view room Vincent Madden, Director of Operations at Arora Hotels, commented: “I am delighted to relaunch the 4-star Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel after such an extensive and careful programme of renovation designed to put the hotel firmly back on the map.”
Market Garden restaurant “The hotel has been resident at the airport for over 40 years and having stripped it back and completely overhauled all guest rooms and public areas, we’re proud to nowprovide our discerning guests and meeting delegates with an all-new premium hotel product, coupled with our commitment to deliver first class service, to ensure the entire guest experience is fully reflective of the upscale lifestyle Renaissance brand.” The Renaissance London Heathrow is the closest hotel to the airport’s central terminals and offers facilities including a health club, room service, concierge, bureau de change, gift shop and 97 rooms with runway views.
