One of Kuala Lumpur’s finest hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur, has reopened after a complete transformation.

A lavish landmark in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle district, the luxury hotel, which has played host to the world’s elite for 18 years, has been reimagined by renowned New York-based design studio Alexandra Champalimaud. A statement by Ritz-Carlton said the hotel has “come of age for today’s global affluent traveller” and that the result was “a transformation of the city’s iconic beacon of style and luxury, which took as its inspiration the heart of The Ritz-Carlton, its ladies and gentlemen, while finely balancing the cultural and historical heritage of the property.”

The hotel’s 364 new rooms and suites, restaurants and public spaces have all been updated with a fresh palette of pleasing neutral shades, contemporary details and high quality furnishings and finishes. “Each experience throughout The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur, has been carefully refined, renewed and refreshed,” the statement said. “From the signature afternoon tea in the Lobby Lounge with its extensive tea selection and new menu choices through to the new Library space with its vintage cognac and whiskies collection.”

And despite all the updates, the hotel’s famed butler service is still available, with every guest assigned their own personal butler who is on-call throughout their stay, 24 hours a day. The property’s spa team has also developed a new treatment based around Asia’s first Sensory Sound Bath Room, while a Chef-on-Call is available to tailor personalised menus and experiences for corporate and private events. The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur has won numerous accolades and is recognised as one of the top hotels in Kuala Lumpur on our own hotel search tool.
