Singapore Airlines has opened a new SilverKris Lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 2, an interesting option for those who have a Star Alliance Gold Card. Champagne and cocktails are served from the manned bar while the lounge offers personalised service from the waiters and a nice buffet for those who are hungry.

Singapore Airlines' new SilverKris Lounge in London Heathrow Terminal 2B, adjacent to gate 36, is divided into designated Business Class and First Class sections. The lounge offers a total of 208 seats, including 50 in the area reserved for first class passengers. Both the First Class and Business Class sections have a buffet area, and passengers in First Class will also have the opportunity to order from five different a la carte menus that vary during the day. The menus in the lounge include both Asian and European dishes. Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice is among the favourites of the Singaporean dishes, and from the British cuisine, Traditional Afternoon Tea is a popular choice. The food is cooked on the spot and the menus often vary, meaning novel choices for those who travel frequently.

Singapore Airlines’ SilverKris Business Class Lounge London Heathrow Terminal 2 First Class passengers are welcomed with warm towels, just like on board an aircraft, and personal service is available from the waiters throughout the whole lounge. Selected wines, beer, champagne and soft drinks are available for all guests regardless of class. The lounge also includes a staffed bar serving cocktails made to order.

A total of six shower rooms are also available to passengers who wish to use them. The lounge was designed by the renowned design firm ‘ONG & ONG’ from Singapore and offers separate facilities for passengers in First and Business Class.
