Six minutes and three seconds - time taken to fall asleep in SAS' new business class seat

On Thursday, February 26th, SAS arranged an event at Oslo Gardermoen Airport. The goal: To find out how quickly one can fall asleep SAS’ new Business Class seat. The contestants had 15 minutes at their disposal, the winner, however, took home the victory in six minutes and three seconds. The seat was being exhibited in the transit hall at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, next to gate 44, behind screens. Everyone who competed throughout the day got 15 minutes to fall asleep, the only aid was a comfort kit which included earplugs and an eye mask. To get an accurate result, a Muse headset was used. This measures brain activity and turns the brain's electrical signals into readable EEG waves. A sleep expert was in place to assess and verify the results. It was thus impossible to cheat. The winner drifted off after six minutes and three seconds, and, consequently, won a trip for two to New York.
