Six Senses Douro Valley opens in Portugal

The 20 acre resort contains 57 guest rooms, suites and villas. New York based Clodagh Design is responsible for the light greys and sandy tones in the nicely designed and eco-friendly rooms.

Additionally, "The Wine Library" offers a menu of tapas, cheese, smoked hams and local sausage to go with a glass of wine and a book. Six Senses Douro Valley is located 142 km (88 miles) from Porto International Airport and measures over 24,000 square feet. It has 10 treatment rooms, heated in-door swimming pool, steam room, Sauna and Laconium. The spa menu includes locally-inspired, grape-based treatments. There is also an outdoor swimming pool that boasts panoramic views of the Douro Valley.
