Speed up entry process into UK

A recent government initiative makes it quicker and easier for nationals of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand or the USA to enter the UK.

One of the following must also be true:

  • 1. you’ve got a visa (but not a Tier 5 concession (Creative and sporting), EEA family permit, discretionary leave or leave outside the rules)

2. you’ve visited the UK 4 times in the last 52 weeks e.g for business, education, tourism, education or medical treatment By applying for the “Registered Traveller” service, nationals of the above stated counties will no longer need to complete a landing card before landing and, better still, will be able to use the UK/EU lanes at London Heathrow and the Registered Traveller lanes at London Gatwick. The service will also allow you to use the UK ePassport gates with your biometric passport. The Registered Traveller service is currently offered at Edinburgh, Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, London City, Manchester and Stansted airports, and Brussels, Lille and Paris Eurostar terminals. The service costs £70 to apply and is valid for one year. If your application is unsuccessful, you will get back £50.
