The German hotel group, The Steigenberger Hotel Group, has launched a new hotel brand - 'Jaz in the City'. Its goal is to offer guests a stylish and inspiring experience. Jaz in the City will be their third hotel chain after ‘Steigenberger Hotel’ and ‘InterCityHotel’.
“Stylish, charming and spontaneous" are the three key words of the hotel chain which has the overall goal to work with the unique way of life in each city. Each hotel plans to take advantage of local music and culture, and will allow local artists to display their works inside the hotels. In both the rooms and public spaces, one will find art that is periodically replaced, while in the restaurants and lobby areas, local music and live performances by local talents will be showcased. Staff at the hotels will also have very good local knowledge and will able to provide tips on cultural events, exhibitions and nightlife. The target customers are; sophisticated world travellers, weekend adventurers, foodies, as well as price-conscious business travellers who want to be able to use their free time in the best way. The first hotel will open in Amsterdam during September 2015. ‘Jaz Amsterdam’ will have 247 rooms and 11 suites. The hotel will also offer a 230 square metre spa, conference facilities and a restaurant on the first floor, 'Vibrant urban Hotstpot'. Next door to the hotel is the Amsterdam ArenA, home of Ajax football team, and the concert venue, Ziggo Dome.
