The Tallest 5-Star Hotels In Europe

While the majority of the world’s tallest hotels are found across Asia and the Middle East, Europe has its share of sky-high hotels.  

In fact, the following six 5-star European hotels are more than sufficient to provide guests with unique and unadulterated views of the historic cities they tower over. Please bear in mind, however, rooms at these hotels are not for the faint of heart!

Located on the banks of the Moskva River, the Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow is the tallest 5-star hotel in Europe at 198 metres. Still retaining its historic name of Hotel Ukraina, the building dates from 1957 and was the tallest hotel in the world until the

opened in Atlanta, Georgia, in the US in 1976.

The Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard, London occupies floors 34-52 of the 95-storey skyscraper in Southwark, London. This gives guests of this five-star luxury hotel access to stunning views of the capital and beyond.

When it opened in November 2003, the InterContinental Warsaw is the tallest hotel in Poland and the third-tallest in Europe. It features  414 spacious and well-appointed rooms and suites, all of which offer a magnificent panorama of Warsaw.
