Vietnam Airlines celebrate first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

Additionally, Vietnam Airlines and Boeing signed a collaborative contract regarding the development of their fleets, in which Boeing offered Vietnam Airlines 8 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner and 8 Boeing 777-8x aircrafts. Vietnam Airlines has acknowledged the offer. The two parties will consider the deal and report to government authorities before reaching an official agreement. Dr. Pham Viet Thanh, Chairman of Vietnam Airlines said, "I'm glad to introduce the very first Boeing 787 Dreamliner for Vietnam Airlines, marking the start of 19 of these new aircraft to expand our fleet and operations, I believe that with its state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly, safe and convenient features, the 787 will offer Vietnam Airlines' customers new experiences and a new quality of service." The B787-9 Dreamliner is the latest extension to Boeing’s super-efficient 787 family. The new aircraft will feature fully flat beds in Business Class, and passengers will also benefit from larger windows and stow bins, modern LED lighting, higher humidity and cleaner air, lower cabin pressure and a smoother, quieter ride. Vietnam Airlines also hope to develop in-flight WiFi on board its new Boeing 787-9. Vietnam Airlines also recently added an Airbus A350 XWB to their ranks.

Once new Dreamliner takes flight later this month, Vietnam Airlines will become the first airline in Asia to operate both Boeing and Airbus’ latest next-generation aircraft at the same time.
