Virtuoso, the popular network of international luxury travel advisors, has announced the winners of its renowned 2015 Best of the Best hotel awards at the
27th annual Virtuoso Travel Week conference. Ashford Castle in Ireland was awarded the coveted crown of Hotel of the Year.
Virtuoso surveyed 370 agencies and more than 9,800 elite travel advisors to decide the Best of the Best winners in ten categories, from the Best Culinary Experience to Hotel of the Year. With a portfolio of nearly 1,100 hotels, resorts, villas and private island retreats in more than 100 countries, Virtuoso Hotels & Resorts is considered one of the industry's most prestigious hotel programs. Founded in 1992, the program is also luxury travel's longest-running, with more five-star properties than any other.
